Victory for Lube in Modena, Hernandez and Ishikawa end Siena’s nightmare: finally the win!
In the big match of the round, Lube Civitanova barely came out as the winners of the match after taking the tie-break against Modena.
Modena had a better start of the match but in the other two sets, was Civitanova that take the lead and control the game.
However, the home team won with a great comeback the fourth set and forced the tie-break, even if they couldn’t do anything to stop Civitanova, which deservedly getting the win.
Ivan Zaytsev was the top scorer but his performance was not enough for the victory, and he had some up and down, like his teammates. 28 points for him. In Lube, Tsvetan Sokolov and Yoandy Leal scored 22 points each, while Osmany Juantorena added 18 points.
Siena have finally managed to score a victory in Superlega Credem Banca. Once again, it was a difficult match for them, but they managed to win against Milano after five sets. Fernando Hernandez scored 21 points, while Yuki Ishikawa added 20 points. In Milano, Nimir Abdel Aziz scored 26 points and was the top scorer of the match, followed by Stephen Maar with 19.
Perugia won the match against Castellana in straight sets but it was a very difficult match for them. Wilfredo Leon with 20 points and Aleksandar Atanasijevic with 18 points were the best in Perugia, while in the home team, Mojtaba Mirzajampour scored 17 points.
Trento didn’t have any troubles to beat the rival Verona in the Adige’s derby. Angelo Lorenzetti, the head coach of the home team didn’t use substitutions, in fact he played only with 7 players!
Uros Kovacevic was the top scorer of the match with 13 points, while Luca Vettori and Aaron Russell had 12 points each. On the other side, Stephen Boyer scored 11 points.
Unexpected great victory in four sets for Sora on the Monza field. The 19 points of Ghafour, once again one of the best in his team, were not enough. Sora deservedly won this match, with a great team performance. Petkovic was the top scorer of the game with 21 points, followed by Joao Rafael with 18 and Fey with 12.
Victory in straight set for Ravenna against Latina, without problems. Rychlicki was the top scorer of the match with 21 points.
