France, Round 10: Nice destroy Nantes. Tours and Rennes ok.

2 min read

The first part of round 10 of French ligue A has just ended. Three matches were played tonight, and Rennes won another game in straight sets, this time at Sete. The game was one-way, and the home team never led the game. Only Grozdanov reached double digits, scoring 10 points. In the winning side, Bram van der Dries was the top scorer of the match with 19 points and 54% in attack, including 3 aces and two blocks. His teammate Kamil Baranek contributed with another 14 points (including 3 blocks) and Kasimir Georgiev added 10. Rennes remains so alone at the top of the standings.
Victory in straight sets also for Tours, who played at home against Narbonne. The guests fighted during the first two sets, in which they led (in both) until 19:21. However, Tours in the decisive moments of the match played with experience, without giving a single point.
Hermans Egleskalns was the top scorer of the match with 19 points, including 3 aces, 1 block and an excellent 75% in attack, while Gazmend Husaj added 13.
For Narbonne, Baroti and Zanotti end the game with a double-digit display, the first scoring 13 points with 43% attack, while his teammate added 11.
Incredible victory of Nice on the field of Nantes (including the third set, finished 9-25!). The home team was literally destroyed, and Nice has always led the game for all three sets played. The opposite Robin Overbeeke was absolutely the best, with 21 points and 59% in attack. In Nantes played only Michalovic, who scored 17 points, while his teammates did not take the field. (It is interesting to watch the score, because the second “best scorer” of the home team is Henry, with 4 points!)
