The major surprise of the Italian Superlega Round 17 was made by Milano! Led by Nimir Abdelaziz, Milano downed Modena in straight sets: the Dutch opposite scored 19 points to create the 10th victory for Milano and the fourth defeat for Modena. (Click here for more about this match).
Latina needed 5 sets for win on the Siena‘s court. It was a very balanced match, and despite the 24 points of Hernandez, top scorer of the match Siena suffered another defeat. On the winning side, Parodi scored 17 points.
Victory also for Verona, 3:1 at home against Castellana Grotte.
Stephen Boyer, deservedly MVP of the match, played an excellent match, scoring 24 points while Kaziyski contributed with 16 and Manavinezhad with 13. The top scorer on the other side was Mirzajanpourmouziraji with 18 points.
Another battle was played between Padova and Sora: Padova managed to win the match only at tie break, led by Louati (23 points) and Torres (20). The top scorer of the match was Petkovic with 25 points, but he wasn’t enough
Trento have scored the 20th consecutive win counting all competition: It’s an impressive scoring run and this time they defeated Vibo Valentia in straight sets. Aaron Russell with 12 points and Uros Kovacevic with 11 points were the top scorers in this victory of Trentino, keeping the team in the first position.
