Zaksa needed a victory to stay in the race for the next round of the Champions League and they have managed to make it without the Belgian international Sam Deroo, who is still recovering from injury.
Even if Modena took the first set, the Polish team didn’t want to surrender, beating Modena in the next three sets and taking a great victory 3-1!
Lukasz Kaczmarek had a good performance, scoring 25 points, while on the other side Ivan Zaytsev had 22 and Bartosz Bednorz 19.
Lube Civitanova have almost secured the spot in the quarterfinals after defeating Karlovarsko in straight sets. They won the match without any difficults with following results: 25:16, 25:18, 25:14 and Yoandy Leal was the top scorer with 16 points.
In a match lasted only 68 minutes Zenit St. Petersburg destroyed ACH Volley Ljubljana in front of the home fans. Georg Grozer led the Russian team with an excellent match and 19 points.
