#Turkey: Galatasaray, Arkas, Fenerbahce and Halkbank win Game 1 of the quarterfinals.

The Efelerligi playoffs started today.
Fenerbahçe was the only side to make an upset in Game 1 of the 2018/19 Turkish playoff quarterfinals.
The fifth seed Fenerbahçe prevailed over the fourth Maliye Piyango in a highly dramatic encounter at the home court, lastad five sets (25:22, 23:25, 25:20, 18:25, 16:14) and now need one more victory to reach the semifinals in the 2018-2019 Efeler Ligi. The Cuban Salvador Hidalgo Oliva was, once again, the best with 25 points (56% in attack). Belgian Kevin Klinkenberg made 73% positive reception. Wendt scored 23 points with 51% in attack for Maliye.

Led by the Slovenian Alen Šket (16 points and 62% in attack) and Subasi (63%), Halkbank Ankara, winner of the regular season, achieved an easy victory in straight sets over Ziraat Bankasi without encountering much resistance from the rivals.

The second seed Arkas Spor needed four sets to win against the resistance of Tokat Belediye Plevne. After a bad first set (with Murilo Radke replaced by Kaya, they managed to win the match. Great performance of Taht with 20 points, 62% in attack and 4 aces, while among the hosts bad day for Okello (15% in attack).

After losing the CEV Cup final, Galatasaray started the playoffs with a convincing 3-0 win against Istanbul BBSK.
