#Superlega: Lube is first finalist, Modena tie series with Perugia at 2-2!

The fourth in the standings Azimut Leo Shoes Modena rejected the first match point of the leaders of Sir Safety Conad Perugia for advancing to the finals, and tied the series at 2-2 thanks to a great straight-set victory on the home court. Modena head coach Julio Velasco put the French Kévin Tillie in the line-up instead of Slovenian Tine Urnaut and it was a winning move for his team.
The best scorers for Modena were Ivan Zaytsev and Bartosz Bednorz with 12 points each, while Wilfredo León scored 14 for Perugia.

Lube go to its 3rd straight playoff: they won Game 4 of the 2018/19 Italian Superlega playoff semifinals to advance to the gold medal matchup.
At a sold-out home court Civitanova’s Eurosuole Forum, in front of about 4,000 spectators) the third seed Cucine Lube Civitanova beat the second Itas Trentino in Game 4 in straight sets (25:21, 25:19, 31:29). Thus, Lube won the series by a 3-1 and claimed a spot in the finals for the third straight season, the sixth overall. In addition, Lube secured its place in the 2020 CEV Champions League!
Trentino had a chance to extend the serie, but they failed to convert four set points in the third set. Bulgarian Tsvetan Sokolov and Osmany Juantorena (75% attack, 15/20, one error) scored 16 points each on the winning side, and cuban middle-blocker Robertlandy Simón added six winning-blocks. Luca Vettori scored 13 points for Trentino, and Serbian middle-blocker Srećko Lisinac was author of four kill blocks.
