Poland: Heynen crosses out Bednorz and Kochanowski from final list for Tokyo 2020 Qualifiers.

1 min read

Poland Volleyball national team head coach Vital Heynen crossed out 2 players from the preliminary list and announced the final list of players that will compete in the Olympic qualification in Gdańsk (August 9-11).

After playing friendly matches against Belgium and the Netherlands, Heynen decided to cross out one outside hitter and one middle blocker: Bartosz Bednorz and Jakub Kochanowski.
Whilst the decision not to take Kochanowski to the qualifications was not a big surprise, knowing the fierce competition that he had on his role in the national team, the exclusion of Bednorz was a bit unespected. The 25-year-old player was one of the Poland’s leaders during the Final Six of the 2019 FIVB Nations League in Chicago.
