The Polish Volleyball Championship winners Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle have a new outside hitter: the 33-year-old outside hitter Simone Parodi, who appeared on the training of ZAKSA a week ago and he pleased the coaching staff. ZAKSA revealed on their website that Parodi was close to joining them in 2014 as well but the agreement could not be reached at that moment.
By signing the Italian player, who spent the last season playing for the team in his home country, Top Volley Latina, ZAKSA did not conclude strengthening the team on the outside hitter’s position. They signed also Poland National Team member, the bronze medalist at this year’s FIVB Nations League Piotr Łukasik. The 25-year-old player played for the vice-champions ONICO Warszawa last season.
