#Transfers: One-time EuroVolley Best Receiver Nikola Kovačević moves to Saudi Arabia

Former Serbia National Team member Nikola Kovačević is ready to start an Arabian adventure: the veteran outside hitter, whose sibling Uroš has just won the 2019 EuroVolley MVP award (and a gold medal with Serbia), moved to Saudi Arabia. The 36-year-old Nikola will play for the country’s powerhouse Al Hilal.
The team based in Riyadh will be the 17th destination in his professional career. Last season, he played for BKS Visła Bydgoszcz, Poland and recall that the player had a successful international career, winning the 2011 CEV European Championship in which he was named Best Receiver. He also collected one bronze medal in the FIVB World Championship, two bronze medals in the CEV EuroVolley and three silver and one bronze medal in the FIVB World League. On a club level, he won Serbian, Polish and Chinese Championship once each.
