The Wörther-See-Löwen Klagenfurt celebrated their third victory in the fifth round of the DenizBank AG VL regular season, winning the home match against the VCA Amstetten NÖ in fourth sets (25:14, 21:25, 25:20, 25:22 ) and thus consolidating fourth place in the standings. Top scorers for the winners were Simon Frühbauer with 24 points and Arwin Kopschar who added 18, while Franco Drago and Keaton Strom scored 12 each for the guests. Klagenfurt achieved 14 attack points more (52:38) and made 11 aces vs. the only 3 of the rivals. (Photogallery below).
So, Amstetten slipped to seventh place, while, on the other match played, the VBC TLC Weiz won in straight sets vs. TJ Sokol Wien (27:25, 25:21, 25:22) and recording the first victory of the season. Thus, only the Viennese are winless.
