Austria: Amstetten fights vs. Ried and celebrates second win of 2019/20 season -GALLERY-

Yesterday VCA Amstetten NÖ has scored the second victory in seventh match of DenizBank AG VL regular season, after four defeats in a row. They defeated the UVC Weberzeile Ried in their Johann Pölz halle at tie break (25:19, 18:25, 15:25, 25:23, 15:13). Now Amstetten is still at seventh place in the standings, Ried fifth. Top scorers of tha match were Keaton Strom with 19 points and Leo Schober with 14 for the winners, and Tomasz Rutecki with 26 points and Niklas Stooss with 14 on the other side. Rutecki was other of 124 points in the season, making him the second best spiker in the league behind Arthur Darmois (132) of the Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel.
As for everything else, Amstetten will play on Saturday, on TJ Sokol Wien’s court and UVC Holding Graz meets the Wörther-See-Löwen from Klagenfurt in the Raiffeisen Sportpark.
Defending champions SK Zadruga Aich/Dob will play on the weekend away in the MEVZA League and they want to equalize with a victory in Kamnik (Slovenia) vs. Calcit Volley. Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel is aiming for a third victory in a row at Mladost Ribola Kastela’s home, Croatia.
