Leo Shoes Modena will have a chance to defend the trophy in 2019 Del Monte® Supercoppa (italian supercup). In first semifinal, they prevailed in a match which was a real rollercoaster, over Final Four hosts Cucine Lube Civitanova and advanced to the second straight final: 3-1 (25:23, 25:21, 27:29, 25:20).
The first and third sets were amazing, with Modena that came back after a 6-point deficit in the opening set (16:21), while in the third set, Lube saved as many as 4 match points. However, in the fourth set, Modena distanced themselves from the rivals at the very beginning and secured a place in the tomorrow title match. (Photogallery of the match here)
