Italy: Lube cancel powerful display of León to beat Perugia in advance of Round 11, Round 4 was completed today

Cucine Lube Civitanova prevailed over Sir Safety Conad Perugia in, what is considered in the past several years, a derby of all derbies of the Italian Volleyball.
In the big duel of the champions Lube and runners-up Perugia, the crown carrier prevailed at home at the packed Eurosuole Forum, 3,980 fans, in four sets (28:26, 25:20, 24:26, 25:22). The match was valid for Round 11 of the 2019/20 SuperLega Credem Banca regular season, while the other today’s matches were part of Round 4, which was completed. The reason for this is Lube’s participation at the 2019 FIVB Club World Championship in Brazil at the time when Round 11 is scheduled.
With this victory, Lube remained undefeated with a 5-0 score and took over the lead in the standings. Brazil National Team member Yoandy Leal was the top scorer for the winners with 20 points, while Iranian Amir Ghafour stepped in the line-up instead of Luxembourgian Rychlicki and made 72% attack (13/18). Bruno Rezende stood out as he served 4 aces and Cuban Robertlandy Simón made 4 winning blocks. As for Perugia, who already suffered their second defeat of the season, Poland National Team member Wilfredo León scored 24 points.

In Round 4, Padova destroys Sora on the road, Modena won without lot of difficult on Ravenna’s field, while Latina prevailed on their home court against Vero Volley Monza after a battle lasted five sets. Close the picture another tie break: in a neverending match, the hosts of Piacenza won against Vibo Valentia. The host managed to won a four sets which ends 36:38 (PHOTOGALLERY OF THE MATCH).
