Italy: Trento is Perugia’s sixth victim in a row with a fantastic performance of Atanasijevic!

Sir Safety Conad Perugia seem unstoppable in the italian 2019/20 SuperLega Credem Banca regular season: they scored the sixth consecutive victory. The last one, for now, came in the big match against Itas Trentino in and advanced match of Round 13: 3-1 (25:21, 20:25, 25:19, 25:23). The game has heated up in the fourth set when there were a couple of potentially exploding situations on the court. First, León and Vettori stared down at each other and then the same situation happened between León and Čebulj after Trentino’s block on the Cuban-born player.
Lorenzetti’s team are really struggling lately as they suffered as many as the third defeat in the last four matches. Perugia came in second with 9:2 and 25 points. Serbian Aleksandar Atanasijević and Wilfredo León led Perugia with 26 and 23 points respectively, while Atanasijević’s compatriot Uroš Kovačević scored 15 points for Trentino, while Slovenian Klemen Čebulj made 81% reception (16 digs, 44% perfect).

If this was the anticipation of Round 13, yesterday it was also played regularly (part of) Round 10. Reaction of Verona that defeated Latina in four sets, and Padova and Piacenza win at tie-break: home victory for the first at home against Milano, while the latter beat Sora away. Tie breaks also in Vibo Valentia, even though Ravenna won, while Modena won 3-1 at the Monza field, which made a great comeback after being behind by two sets, but it wasn’t enough.
