The Volleyball Federation of Serbia (OSSRB) gave the annual awards to the best individuals of the country’s volleyball at the New Year’s cocktail held in the capital of Belgrade. Recall that both men’s and women’s senior national team of Serbia became European champions in 2019 and, of course, standouts in both squads were main stars in the award ceremony of the country’s volleyball federation that closed 2019.
Tijana Bošković, a 3-time consecutive female best volleyball player in Europe and MVP of the 2019 EuroVolley, is Serbia’s best female volleyball player in 2019, while Uroš Kovačević, the best male European volleyball player and MVP of the 2019 European Championship, is Serbia’s best male volleyball player this year.
Slobodan Kovač, the head coach of the male national team and the best coach of Europe in 2019 in the selection of European Volleyball Confederation (CEV), was named the best coach in men’s volleyball competition in 2019. Zoran Terzić, the head coach of the female national team, current world champion and 2-time consecutive European champion,2017 and 2019, was named the best coach in women’s volleyball competition this year.
The President of OSS, Zoran Gajić, handed over the “Special Plaque of the OSS” to the President of CEV and Honorary President of OSS, Aleksandar Boričić.
