Austria: Wörther See-Löwen Klagenfurt and VCA Amstetten NÖ victorious!

The Wörther-See-Löwen Klagenfurt celebrated their first win in their second match in the lower round of DenizBank AG VL, by beating in straight sets at home TJ Sokol Wien, partially 25:18, 25:20, 25:23. The newcomers are still winless even after their 15th championship match, while Klagenfurt have now six points in the charts, as they took three bonus points from the regular season.
Klagenfurt’s captain Simon Frühbauer scored-high with 12 points, while his teammates Arwin Kopschar and Max Trummer also contributed with 11 points each. Christian Käfer poured in 11 for Wien.
Clear victory also for Amstetten, who scored 2nd success within 24 hours! They prevailed against VBC TLC Weiz after a game lasted 83 minutes in straight sets, partially 25:19, 25:23, 25:21. They had also been victorious against the same Wörther-See-Löwen Klagenfurt (3-1) the day before.
Top scorer of the hosts was Santiago Alvarez with 12 points, Franco Drago top-scored for the winners with 15, while Keaton Strom also contributed with 13. As for numbers, Amstetten was superior in almost all areas: 41:34 attack points, 3:1 aces and 13:5 blocks!
