France: Narbonne stops Tours, Chaumont wins the big match, Montpellier, Poitiers, Cannes & Paris ok
1 min read
After Thursday’s advance in which Nantes defeated Toulouse at home at tie break, the French Ligue A Round 22 was completed yesterday evening. Great victory for Narbonne over leaders Tours, who surrenders after 5 sets: even without the injured Gueye and Duée, the 35 points (65% in attack, 2 kill blocks and 3 aces) of the recovered Bisset make the difference. Both Montpellier (3-1 at the almost relegated Nice) and Chaumont (3-1 at Rennes in the big match of the day) recovered 2 points in the charts on the team coached by Henno. Poitiers makes a comeback on Séte thanks to Lacassie’s entry instead of Neves Atu. Close the picture two home straight-sets-wins: Paris (without injured Overbeeke, out until the end of the season) and Cannes, over Ajaccio and Tourcoing respectively.
