Austria: Volleyball leagues suspended from now until further notice!

Due to the constantly spread of the coronavirus, the Austrian Federation (ÖVV) has decided today that all competitions (DenizBank AG Volley League Women & Men, 2. Bundesliga) are suspended from now until further notice.
This means that the DenizBank AG VL semifinals scheduled for Wednesday evening not take place.
The situation should be reassessed by March 25 and a decision will be taken about the future.
According to ÖVV President Gernot Leitner: “In the current situation, safety is the most important things for ÖVV. The very negative dynamic spread of the coronavirus in Austria prompted us to tighten yesterday’s decision to play matches behind closed doors and, also in the spirit of fairness, to stop all matches until March 25th.”
