Nikola Grbić stays with the Polish volleyball champions Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle for one more season.
He is recognized as one of the best players in the world at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries. A long-time member of the Serbia National Team, after the end of his professional career, in the 2014/15 season, made his debut in the new role as a head coach. After a season of working in Italy’s Sir Safety Conad Perugia, Grbić moved to another club from this country, Calzedonia Verona. After a few years spent there, which he combined with the position of the Serbia head coach, Grbić took over the post in the polish club, who found themselves at the top of the standings in the regular season prior to the cancelation of the season due to the new COVID-19 pandemic.
Last season, with ZAKSA, he won the trophy in the Polish Super Cup.
