Legendary brazilian middle-blocker Sidão announces his retirement

The ex-Brazil National Team member Sidnei dos Santos Júnior, better know as Sidão, announced his retirement.
The 2010 FIVB World Championship winner, as well as four-time FIVB Volleyball Nations League, two-time FIVB World Grand Champions Cup and three-time South American Championship winner (one-time MVP and Best Middle Blocker), put an end to his professional career at the age of 37, and revealed his decision a live interview on SporTV’s social media. Last season, he played for Sesi-SP.
Sidão said that he made such a decision in order to spend more time with his family. He and his wife, who’s also a professional volleyball player, Danielle Lins (2012 London Olympics gold medalist) have also a 2-year-old daughter.
