Germany: two youngsters for Friedrichshafen

The 13-time German volleyball champions VfB Friedrichshafen made their first steps in the transfer market.
As already mentioned in our list of official transfers 2020/21 a couple of days ago, Friedrichshafen reached an agreement with the young opposite Linus Weber (in photo). The 20-year-old player is coming from Italy’s Allianz Milano where he served as a backup to Nimir Abdel-Aziz. Interestingly, Weber was a member of Friedrichshafen’s fiercest rivals in the country, Berlin Recycling Volleys, prior to going to Italy, and he even won the Bundesliga title with the team from the German capital.

🌎OFFICIAL WORLD TRANSFERS 2020/21

In addition to Weber, Friedrichshafen promoted 17-year-old outside hitter Ben-Simon Bonin from their youth team Volley Youngstars Friedrichshafen competing in the second division. Actually, they signed the professional contract with a player valid for the next two years.
Moreover, they parted ways with Austrian outside hitter Anton Menner who went to HELIOS Grizzlys Giesen.
