The six-time Portuguese volleyball champions Sporting Clube de Portugal hired in the last few days a quintet of Brazilian players for the 2020/21 season.
The most prominent name is definitely the 33-year-old opposite Paulo Victor Silva “PV“ (in photo), MVP of the 2011 Pan-American Cup, which he won with the Brazil National Team, and one-time winner of the FIVB Club World Championship and South American Club Championship (both with Sada Cruzeiro). He came from german side HYPO Tirol AlpenVolleys Haching, that decided to end the project.

Apart from VP, Sporting hired four more of his compatriots: middle blockers Victor Hugo Pereira, from Vedacit Vôlei Guarulhos (Brazil) and Éder Levi, from Pärnu VK (Estonia), outside hitter Robinson Dvoranen “Bob“, from Cuprum Lubin (Poland), and setter Bruno Alves “Canhoto“ from Omonia (Cyprus).
