Greece: resounding comeback of Foinikas from 1-2 and 20-23 and victory at the tie break against Olympiakos!

The final phase of the Greek men’s championship opens with a sensational surprise, the only one in Europe to restart after the stop for the coronavirus pandemic. The game was played at the gigantic OAKA in Athens, which hosted a domestic volleyball match for the first time ever. There were no spectators and a duel was organized under strict measures of the health protocol.
The title-holder Olympiacos played a bad game and was incredibly defeated by fourth-placed Foinikas (moreover without José Luis Gonzalez and Stoilovic) after having wasted an advantage of 23:20 in the 4th set and a match point on 14:13 of the tie-break.
The good performance of Voulkidis (21 points, 72% in attack, 7 winning blocks and 1 ace) and Petreas (13 points, 82% in attack and 4 winning blocks) is not enough for Olympiacos to compensate the bad match of Finger (16 points and 31% in attack), Koumentakis (13 points, 32% in attack) and Husaj (13 points, 38% in attack) who play equal, if not worse, against the less quoted Milis (16 points, 29% in attack), Ziga Stern (19 points, 40% in attack) and Kostopoulos (16 points and 45% in attack).
