Turkish Cup: Halkbank, Arkas and Sportoto win the big matches of day 3

The third day of the group stage of the Turkish Cup was played today.
In Pool A, the very favorite Fenerbahce (today with a clear 3-0 on IstanbuI BBSK) go to the quarter-finals and as second the newcomers TFL Altekma who obtained his second victory this time against Inegol, still without the 4 outside-hitters.
In Pool B Arkas Izmir dominates the big match against Bursa BBSK (20 points, 76% in att., 1 kill block and 3 aces for the Turkish international Gungor) and flies to the quarterfinals by mortgaging the first place in the group. However, for the final charts it will be necessary to wait for Tokat to recover its 3 matches. Pool C is also incomplete, which did not see Sorgun take the field but HaIkbank, who today beat Galatasaray 3-1 in the big match (24 points with 58% in attack for Hernandez and 18 points with 55% in attack starting from the bench for Gokgoz) is already sure of the quarter-finals. In pool D the Solhan Spor won in four sets the irrelevant game against the modest Arhavi which was valid only for the third place of the group, while in the big match for the first place Spor Toto beat with a suffered 3-2 Ziraat Bankkart, penalized by the absences of Atanasov and the starting setter Arslan Eksi. On 14-11 of the third set, the Brazilian outside hitter Leozinho left the field, apparently due a knee problem. In the tie-break, the Olympic champion Wallace was decisive who, with 7 points out of 9 attacks, redeemed a game through thick and thin.

At this moment, these teams progressed to quarterfinals: Fenerbahçe HDI Sigorta, Altekma, Arkas Spor, Bursa B.Şehir Bld, Halkbank, Galatasaray HDI Sigorta, Spor Toto, and Ziraat Bankkart.
