Polish SuperCup: Belchatow first finalist. Jastrzebski Wegiel fights, but surrenders in straight sets.

1 min read

Volleyball has returned to Poland after half a year!
The four most successful clubs in the last 20 seasons of the Polish Championship (PlusLiga) got the chance to fight for the trophy in the Polish Super Cup. Actually, it was supposed to be a friendly tournament one week before the start of the new PlusLiga season, which was turned into the Super Cup (official name: Superpuchar MistrzĆ³w Polski). Such a format emerged from the fact that neither the Polish champions nor the winners of the Polish Cup were awarded last season due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Despite the absence of Taylor Sander (despite he returned to the field after the long stop in one of the pre-season friendly matches) PGE Skra Belchatow is the first finalist of the Super Cup who, on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the Plusliga, sees challenging the 4 formations who have won the title at least once. Jastrzebski Wegiel fights, but surrenders all sets to advantages.

Below the official score of the match:
