1 min read

The war between the Chinese Volleyball Association (CVA) and foreign players seems to have been resolved.
They beat the CVA and will play the next Chinese men’s championship.
According to an unofficial information, the governing body of Chinese volleyball pulled back its decision to reserve the 2020/21 national championship (Super League) only for domestic players.
Allegedly, the opposition of clubs and the fear of legal and sporting consequences, affected foreign players had announced an appeal to the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), pushed the CVA to change its course.

The dates of the next edition of the men’s championship aren’t yet clear, but duration of the Super League will be about two months.
The women’s championship will precede men’s and will be played for just two weeks and without the participation of foreign players. It will start on September 20 in Jiangmen and will see the participation of 13 teams.
