2 min read

Jastrzębski Węgiel dominated over Asseco Resovia Rzeszów in Round 2 of the 2020/21 Polish Plusliga regular season.
What was supposed to be an interesting clash in Jastrzębie-Zdrój, turned out to be a match with the domination of one team, with the home side who wins with a clear 3-0 (25:21, 25:16, 25:18).
It was the 41st league encounter of these big rivals, and Jastrzębski prevailed for the 20th time. The team from Rzeszów made quite a respectable roster in order to redeem for the horrible PlusLiga campaign last season, absolutely one of the worst ever, as they finished in the penultimate position in the standings.
Moroccan Mohamed Al Hachdadi was the top scorer for the winning side with 15 points, while Jakub Popiwczak made 75 % reception (25 % perfect). Slovenian Klemen Čebulj scored 11 points for Resovia.
In the other matches, Ślepsk Malow Suwalki won in straight sets against a disappointing Indykpol Olsztyn. The man of the match was the opposite Boladz with 19 points and 67% in attack.
In the last match, Nikola Grbic’s ZAKSA Kedzierzyn-Kozle respects the prediction by beating MKS Bedzin in straight sets.
