Poland: Warszawa close to suffering surprising defeat vs. Lubin in the advance of Round 2

The title contenders VERVA Warszawa ORLEN Paliwa were very close to suffering a surprising defeat against Cuprum Lubin in the opening match of the second round of the 2020/21 Polish volleyball Championship.
The team from the Polish capital trailed 2-0 in sets before turning the match around: 3-2 (20:25, 23:25, 25:18, 25:21, 15:12).
Artur Szalpuk was the top scorer for Warszawa with 24 points, including 4 winning blocks, while Jan Król made 73 % attack. Wojciech Ferens and Colombian Ronald Jiménez scored 16 points each for the losing side, while Kamil Maruszczyk had 75 % reception (19 % perfect).
