Champions League: nothing to do for Dinamo without Sokolov – Trentino close to pool stage!

Itas Trentino made probably a decisive step towards the pool stage of the 2021 CEV Volleyball Champions League.
The players of Italian side rose their heads in a very difficult moment for the club. After suffering two consecutive defeats in the domestic league, they overcame Russia’s powerhouse Dinamo Moscow, undefeated in the national championship, on Day 2 of the 2021 Champions League qualifications.
In Pool H in Amriwsil, Switzerland, Trentino beat rivals with a clear 3-0: 25:18, 25:13, 25:16 ahead of the match against the home side of Lindaren Volley Amriswil in which they need to take at least one point to progress to the pool stage.
Dinamo couldn’t do nothing today without Bulgarian Tsvetan Sokolov. The Dutchman Nimir Abdel-Aziz was the top scorer for the winners with 22 points, including 4 aces.
