Brazil: Minas beat Cruzeiro in “clássico mineiro” to remain undefeated in Superliga and the other results of Round 3

Minas Tênis Clube were declared one of the main favorites for winning the 2020/21 Brazilian Volleyball Championship by beating Sada Cruzeiro Vôlei in the derby of Round 3.
Minas opened the Round against Cruzeiro with 2-0, allowed rivals to level, but closed the game at the tie-break: 3-2 (26:24, 25:23, 23:25, 11:25, 17:15). Thus, Minas prevailed in the classic of the state of Minas Gerais just over a month after losing the state championship final to the same opponents.
Once again, Yadrian Escobar was the highlight of Minas: the Cuban opposite scored 17 points, Matheus Santos made a 77% attack (10/13), while Maique Nascimento had 87 % reception (50 % excellent). Alan Souza top-scored Cruzeiro with 22 points.
