Brazil: Newcomers Uberlândia down Sesi in Round 4

The newcomers Azulim/Gabarito/Uberlândia are undoubtedly a sensation of the 2020/21 Brazilian Volleyball Championship: they overcame one of the favorite title contenders Sesi-SP on the road in Round 4 and reached the third consecutive victory in the competition. With only one defeat on its account so far, the team from the Minas Gerais state entered the top four in the standings. Daniel Pinho ’Bala’ with 15 points and Douglas Pureza with 82 % reception (76 % excellent) highlighted Uberlândia against the club in which they spent the last season. It all resulted in a clear victory: 3-0 (25:18, 25:23, 25:23).
On the other match of the Round, by defeating Pacaembu Ribeirão at home with 3-0, Montes Claros América Vôlei broke their own losing streak of three games.
