Russia: Krasnoyarsk upset Fakel in a match with 30 aces, Zenit Kazan back on winning path, Zenit St. Petersburg smash Belogorie

Zenit Kazan have recovered after losing a game to Belogorie Belgorod in the previous game. However, the team from Kazan had to play a five-set match against ASK Nizhniy Novgorod on the home court and to win the game barely after a drama in the tie-break. ASK obviously saw some chances to win this game and their game plan was almost successful. But it was enough to take two sets from Zenit. Maxim Mikhailov was the best scorer in the home team with 26 points, while the foreign players in a jersey of Zenit, Ngapeth and Bednorz, also contributed with 16 and 15 points. On the other side, Dmitry Vietskiy scored 23 points.
Ivan Yakovlev led Zenit St. Petersburg to the win over Belogorie with 18 points. The team from St. Petersburg won the game in straight sets 25:16, 25:23, 25:17.
Yenisey Krasnoyarsk confirmed himself in great form and won 2-3, after saving 3 match points, on the field of Fakel, and were not enough 25 points with 51% in attack, 3 blocks and 3 aces from Volkov, 24 points with 50% in attack and 5 aces by Bogdan and 18 points with 52% in attack, 1 block and 3 aces by Zhigalov. Super numbers in fact also for the guests: 25 points with 53% in attack and 6 aces for Klets, 24 points with 53% in attack and 8 aces for Skrimov, 22 points with 76% in attack, 1 block and 2 aces for Iereshchenko.
Closes the picture 1-3 between Neftyanik Orenburg and Yugra Samotlor Nizhnevartovsk in the low-ranking challenge.
