Russia: No more undefeated teams in Superliga! Fakel down Dinamo Moscow. Three points also for Lokomotiv and Kuzbass

2 min read

3 matches were played today, unusually on Monday, in the Russian championship. After the disappointing Champions League pool played in Trento, Italy, Lokomotiv Novosibirsk (with Kurkaev back in the sextet, but Abaev alone on the bench) starts again well in the competition by beating Ural Ufa 3-0, which wastes an advantage of 18:22 in the first set and even 15:22 in the third not resisting the powerful services of the hosts.
After the defeat against Krasnoyarsk Fakel Novy Urengoy returns to victory: Volkov was the top scorer of the match with 24 points, 49% in attack, 2 blocks and 1 ace, while for Dinamo Moscow (without Deroo, who was well replaced from Semyshev author of 16 points and 54% in attack) this is the first defeat of the season in the competition. Excellent block performance for the winners (15 to 8, 6 for Stulenkov). In the last match Kuzbass Kemerovo, with 22 points by Italian Ivan Zaytsev, Mikhail Shcherbakov 5 blocks, and Serbian Petar Krsmanović 83% in attack and 10/12, got to the fifth successive win as they downed as expected Dinamo-LO.
