Austrian Cup: Aich/Dob first finalist after a thrilling duel against Waldviertel

SK Zadruga Aich/Dob is the first team finalist in the Austrian Volley Cup 2020/21. The South Carinthians won the semifinal against Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel in their JUFA-Arena Bleiburg on Thursday evening after 122 minutes of play, and 3:1 is the final result (25:23, 25:22, 25:27, 29:27).
Top scorers of the match were Konrad Formela (21), Sergej Drobnic (16) and Victor Alcantara (13) for the winners, while or Marek Sulc and Daan Streutker (16 each), and Rudinei Boff (15) top-scored on the other side of the net. For the guests, the 14 winning blocks (against 8 by Aich/Dob) were not enough.
The second final ticket will be awarded on February 12th, when UVC Weberzeile Ried will face VCA Amstetten NÖ.
