Austria: Klagenfurt fixed third place in Intermediate Round, easy win for Ried over Weiz

VBK Wörther-See-Löwen Klagenfurt fixed the third place in the charts of DenizBank AG VL intermediate round with a straight sets (25:23, 25:19, 25:21) home win over TJ Sokol Vienna V and thanks also to the simultaneous 0:3 (15:25, 17: 25,18:25) defeat by VBC TLC Weiz on the field of UVC Weberzeile Ried.
This means that all placements are already certain before the last match day: Ried at the top of the charts ahead of Sokol, while Weiz is fourth behind Klagenfurt. Newcomers TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg clearly missed the playoffs. The intermediate round will be ended next Saturday. Top scorers of the match were Simon Frühbauer (17) and Benedikt Sablatnig (15) for tje winnets, while Clemens Ecker poured in 10 for Sokol.
In the second Saturday game, Ried destroyed Weiz with the same result, 3-0 (25:15, 25:17, 25:18). Top scorers of the match were George Hobern (9) and Niklas Stooß (8) for the winners, while Michael Pekar made 12 for Weiz. All numbers are in favor of emthe hosts: aces 9-3, block points 9-2, and errors 19-28.
