Austria: Waldviertel inflicts first defeat to Graz in Top Round. Intermediate Round closed today.

Home defeat for UVC Holding Graz: the leaders of the DenizBank AG VL Top Round had to admit the first defeat against Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel on Saturday. The match ended in four sets, partially it was (19:25, 23:25, 25:21, 19:25). The top scorers of the match were Koraimann (21) and Kratz (9) for the hosts and Sulc (22) and Licek (18) for the winners. In any case, Graz still lead the table ahead of SK Zadruga Aich/Dob, but have so far played one game more than the Carinthians. Waldviertel is third with two wins and two defeats.

In Intermediate round, the last games were played today. Table leaders SG UVC Weberzeile Ried/Innkreis suffered an irrilevant 3-0 defeat against last-placed TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg, who collected the third victory overall in competition (but remains at last place). In second place TJ Sokol Vienna V (with a day off today) and in third place VBK Wörther-See-Löwen Klagenfurt, who was able to win in straight sets over fourth-placed VBC TLC Weiz (PHOTOGALLERY OF THE MATCH).
