After the two advances played on Tuesday, Round 23 of the French Ligue A ended last night.
For the first time in its history, Montpellier won the regular season: the 3-2 over Séte and the 2-3 between Cannes and Chaumont brought the leaders to 11 points over Cannes, who stays at second place, with only 3 rounds left.
Another definitive verdict is the exclusion from the playoffs of Toulouse (the only positive note is that Faure is back on the field after a long stop), beaten 3-0 by Tourcoing. In the queue, Nice’s situation is complicated: Nantes wins the direct clash in four sets, overtaking them in the charts, and Ajaccio returns to just one point behind with a resounding 3-1 success on the field of Cambrai, which brings the newcomers down 7th place in the standings.
