With Estonia’s victory against Belgium on Saturday, they improve their undefeated record to 5-0 and secure their spot in the Golden European League final 4 together with Turkey, Ukraine, and the hosts Belgium. Wins also for Czech Republic, Spain, Romania and Turkey.
“The game was difficult for us, we manage to star good, from there we come back and as you can see last two sets was only two point difference, so it was taught game and it was nice to win,” said Oliver Venno, Opposite of Estonia.
On the other matches, on the same Pool, POOL A, Spain defeated Latvia in straight sets to keep their spot in next edition of the competition.
“Today was good game all the players knew how important the game was for us. The victory gave us the ticket for the next season again for the CEV Volleyball European Golden League 2022. All our team played very good, some guys had some physical problems, but they overcome all the problems and we are happy with the victory“, said Angel Trinidad de Haro, Setter of Spain.
In POOL B, Romania’s 3-1 victory against Slovakia was a satisfaction, but unfortunately not enough to qualify for the final 4.
In POOL C, Turkey has only dropped one set so far in the pool phase with a 3-0 win over Portugal, and will be a dangerous opponent in the final 4.
On the same Pool, Czech Republic take their second win in a row, this time in four sets, over Belarus.
