Poland: in advance of Round 4 first victory for newcomers Lublin

2 min read

Despite the absence of the starting setter Pajak, replaced by the young Gniecki (second setter of the junior national team in latest world championships), newcomers LUK Lublin surprisingly defeated GKS Katowice (without Rousseaux) by 3-0. The guests tried to reverse the trend with the entries of Kogut, Domagala and Nowosielski instead of Quiroga, Jarosz and Ma’a, but they never managed to entered thr match, especially in attack (41% and just 18% efficiency, with 10 errors and 13 blocked). MVP and top scorer of the match was Filipiak, but double digit (11 points) and good performance also for Wlodarczyk.
