Austria: Three points for still undefeated Waldviertel and Amstetten. A great Weiz defeats Sokol at tie break.

Three matches valid for Austrian Volley League Round 6 were played today.
Leaders Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel and VCA Amstetten NÖ are still unbeaten. Waldviertel won in four sets on the field of UVC Ried/Innkreis. The winners were better especially in serving, with 9 aces against 1 of the rivals. Marek Šulc was the man of the match with 22 points, including 2 aces and three winning blocks, while Tomasz Rutecki made 20 on the other side of the net. Thanks to this success, Waldviertel have 17 points from six games in the charts, followed by Amstetten with 14 in 5 games.
About Amstetten, they did not let any chance to newcomers Hypo Tirol, by winning the match with a clear 3-0 (25:19, 25:20, 25:16).
Led by Mark Kremer, absolutely top scorer of the match with 23 points, VBC TLC Weiz claimed the second win of the season by beating SG TJ Sokol V / Post SV Wien in an exciting tie break (25:22, 22:25, 18:25, 25:22, 15:12). Manuel Schlager also contributed with 5 of Weiz’s 10 winning blocks, despite the team from Austrian Capital was better in this element with 17!
