Italy: Monza defeats Taranto at tie break in advance of a decimated Round 16

The only advance in program valid for Round 3 of the second leg (or, if you prefer, Round 16) of Italian Superlega CredemBanca regular season was played today.
Newcomers Gioiella Prisma Taranto failed to create a surprise by defeating the favorite Vero Volley Monza as, after winning the first and third sets, they had to surrender at tie-break after a battle lasting over two hours.
Still without the bomber Grozer, it was Monza to celebrate the 2-3 victory (25:22, 23:25, 25:19, 18:25, 10:15), led by MVP Dzavoronok, absolutely the top scorer of the match with 32 points with 3 aces, 1 block and 65% in attack.
On the other side of the net, the good performance of Giulio Sabbi, 22 points, was not enough to conquer a victory that, just a few days ago, also escaped in a similar way with Milano.
