Russia: Zenit-Kazan take 11th successive straight-set win to reach top of charts again. Three points also for Moscow and Kemerovo

Other three matches of 2021/22 Superliga Parimatch Round 12 were played today.

As expected, Zenit-Kazan have returned to the top of the standings, despite a slow start in the first set.
They wrecked Ural Ufa’s reception by serving 14 aces, 6 of which came from the arms of Andrey Surmachevskiy, who had the chance to play in starting six, and was his team’s top scorer with 17 points. Winning 3 points, the side commanded by Aleksey Verbov returned to the top of the charts, provisionally taken by Lokomotiv yesterday. This was Zenit’s 11th straight-set win in a row in all competitions and, overall, the 15th successive win (the 6th successive win in Superliga).

Three points also for Dinamo Moscow and Kuzbass Kemerovo, who notched the 3rd triumph each to slightly improve their positions in the standings: the team from the country’s capital moved up to No.3, while the Kemerovo-based club settled at 6th position.

Dinamo Moscow defeats in four sets on the field of a Dinamo LO without Ivovic and with Jovovic on the bench. The scoresheet signs 26 punti with 67% in attack, 3 blocks e 3
aces by Pirainen (once again on the field in place of Zhigalov), but Moscow’s outside-hitters Bogdan and
Podlesnykh made the difference.
3-1 also for Kuzbass Kemerovo over ASK Nizhniy Novgorod.
