CEV Cup: Monza to semifinal! Zenit Kazan almost qualified too.

Vero Volley Monza celebrated another win against Spain’s CDV Guaguas Las Palmas and flew to the semi-finals of the 2022 CEV Volleyball Cup.
45 minutes are how much time the players of the Italian side spent on the court to win the necessary two sets, those that qualify for the next stage of competition (3-0 in the first leg).
The game ended 3-1 for Monza, whose head coach Massimo Eccheli employed backups in the remainder of the encounter. Thomas Beretta top-scored the SuperLega side with 14 points including 5 blocks.

In the semi-finals, Monza will play against a Russian club, whether it’ll be Zenit Kazan or Kuzbass Kemerovo will be clear after tomorrow’s rematch, always in Kazan.
As predicted, Zenit prevailed 3-0 in the first leg today, with 17 points from Volkov and 13 by Mikhaylov.
Kuzbass, on the other hand, is back on the court today after a forced stop for COVID.
Poland’s PGE Skra Bełchatów was the first team to reach the semis.
