Austria: three points for Klagenfurt and Hartberg Intermediate Round

VBK Wörther-See-Löwen Klagenfurt mathematically secured second place in the Austrian Volley League Zwischenrunde, the intermediate round.
The Carinthians won 1-3 (24:26, 25:20, 26:28, 19:25) on the field of TJ Sokol V/Post SV Wien on Saturday, celebrating their fifth win in a row.
Sokol, however, already had sucured first place. Top scorers of the match were Arwin Kopschar (23) and Simon Frühbauer (15) for the winners, and Daniel Morgunov (23) and Aaron Reiss (11) for Sokol. On Sunday afternoon, Klagenfurt will play their last game in the second phase of the championship, on the field of newcomers and last-placed Hypo Tirol volleyball team.
On the other game of the day, VBC TLC Weiz, despite another defeat in the Styria derby on the field of TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg, currently at 4th place, had already secured playoffs ticket. 3-0 was the final result (25:23, 25:19, 26:24). However, the guests were again without opposite Mark Kremer and outside hitter Jakob Grasserbauer, both injured, and with Leo Schober on the bench.
Top scorers of the match were Dorde Knezevic and Dmytro Fedorenko (18 each) for the winners, and Michael Pekar (13) for Weiz.
The intermediate round will be completed next Friday, and there are eight games to be played in the top round, so quarter-final pairings have not been set yet.
