Sammelvuo leaves Zenit St. Petersburg to focus on work National Team

1 min read

Russian volleyball side Zenit Saint Petersburg announced the end of the collaboration with its head coach Tuomas Sammelvuo.
As the club informed, the Finnish expert decided to leave the Superliga Parimatch side at his own will in order to focus on work in the Russia National Team.
Sammelvuo was at the helm of Zenit since 2019, never bringing any trophies to the club’s showcases, as he was prevented to do so on 4 occasions: twice in the Russian Cup and once in the Russian Super Cup and CEV Cup.
