France: Tours and Paris win advances of Round 25

Two advances of Ligue a Round 25 were played today.
Despite already mathematically at first place of the standings and without several players (Goiano, Aracaju, Perry and Bruckert unreported), Tours defeat SĆØte still without Geiler at tie break (23:25, 25:22, 25:17, 21:25, 15:13).
The decisive break in fifth set (12-10) come from a red card after a videocheck! MVP of the match Luciano Palonski, author of 19 points, 2 aces, 1 block and 59% in attack, while Pierre Derouillon tallied 21 points and 59% in attack too.
For SĆØte, the great performance of Morirz Karlitzek (absolut top scorer of the match with 28 points, 4 aces and 65% in attack was not enough.
On the other match great victory for Paris, who defeat Nice on the road in four sets to take a very important step toward playoffs.
The hosts were great in first set, able to perform a great comeback from 21-24, until the decisive point
from captain Steven Marshall (15 points at the end of the match with 1 block, 1 ace and 54% in attack) that closed 27-25. Then Paris reacted and, despite problems again on the final phase of second set, they were absolutely better. MVP of the match setter Hernan: interestingly, all Paris’ spikers ended the match in double digit (20 points for Lawani, 16 for Kujundzic, Mendez 14, Fiel 13, Michelucci 10).
Bruno Lima was the top scorer for Nice with 21 points and 62%.
And, about Cannes, who tomorrow will face Toulouse in an away match, has resorted for the five defeats, and at this moment the fine has been suspended with 7 points assigned again waiting for the final decision…
