France: Montpellier win big match of Round 25 vs. Chaumont. 3 points for Narbonne, Nantes, Toulouse and Poitiers

Round 25 of French Ligue A, the penultimate one, has been completed tonight.
In big match of the day, Montpellier defeat at tie-break Chaumont with a comeback from 1-2 despite the absence of Lyneel and Lazo’s injury on 18-19 of third set (last 2 sets were played with Cardin opposite and opposite Faure as outside hitter). In any case the winners keep the second place in the current charts with the same number of points but a greater number of victories and, in last Round, they will face Toulouse who today defeat Cannes with a super performance of Daniel Cagliari, deserved named MVP of the match with 26 points, 86% in attack, 0 errors and 1 blocked through 28 attempts). About Cannes, still without setter Danilo Gelinski, penalty or not, they are now mathematically in the last place of the standings, also due the four sets home victory of Poitiers over Cambrai.
The decision, however, will be influent for Narbonne (who today win in straight sets against Plessis Robinson), who are fighting for fourth place against Sète, as well as for Nantes who, despite the heavy absences of Bazin and Bartos, win 1-3 on the field of Tourcoing (without injured Sanchez) and who, with two more points, could replace Nice in eighth place, the last for playoffs.
It is still unclear whether, despite the defeat of tonight, the newcomers Plessis Robinson could still be part of the play off speech.
In fact, another question still uncertain are the two matches that Tours did not play due to covid against Poitiers and against Plessis Robinson themselves and that, due to the protraction until the final of the European path of Tours (who will face Monza next Wednesday in CEV Cup Final) there is no more time to recover by next Saturday (last day of regular season).
