Perugia got upset at home by the countrymen in first leg of all italian 2022 CEV Volleyball Champions League semi-finals.
In a thrilling match lasted 5 sets, that had an epic 4th set, ended 30-28 for Perugia, and not only, Trentino have always forced rivals to chase them (1-0 and 2-1 in sets), taking revenge for the two clear defeats to the same rivals in the group stage.
The players around Angelo Lorenzetti thus put themselves in an advantageous position for the return match.
In fact on 7 April, in Trento, Perugia will need to win at least 3 sets to gain access to the Champions League final.
If the match moves to the tie-break again, the Golden Set will determine the Super Finals participant.

Alessandro Michieletto was the most prolific player on the winnings side with 26 points and 51% in attack, while Serbian Marko Podraščanin set up 4 blocks.
