Golden European League: Victory of Portugal and Ukraine on Sunday’s matches

2022 CEV Golden European League continued on Sunday with two matches.
In Pool A, Portugal open their campaign in competition with a clear straight sets win over Slovakia, partially it was 25:18, 25:22 and 25:18. Lourenco Martins was the top scorer of the match with 17 points and 68% in attack.
In Pool B Ukraine continue on the winning path as they disappointed again the team of Spain.
In a match that lasted a little more than an hour (21:25, 19:25, 15:25) they proved better on all elements.
Ukraine’s captain Oleh Plotnytskyi was top scorer with 16 points, while Ilia Kovalov also contributed with 12 and, for Spain, Juan Manuel Gonzales recorded the same number of points.
The winners made the difference above all in blocking, with 14 points from this element (against only two).
