2022 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship in Ljubljana continued today with other four matches!

Partially it was 25:23, 25:21 and 25:23.

In the same Pool, but in the evening, Italy defeat Turkey to mathematically seal Round of 16 spot.
The National team from Italy thus completed the first part of their mission World Champs, and they did it by beating Türkiye with a clear 3-0 (25:18, 25:20, 25:22) win.
The European champions will likely be seeded high in the general classification given they are one of only four teams that haven’t yet lost a single set in the tournament so far. Even though Türkiye was supposed to be the most combative opponent for Italy in the group stage, nothing to do.

Netherlands makes stunt against Argentina and secures Round of 16!
Yes, they did a great job this afternoon by beating Argentina in their second match of 2022 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship in Pool F.
On the foundation of the performance of their usual bomber Nimir Abdel-Aziz, who ended the game with an impressive amount of 32 points, Netherlands also won their second group match at the competition, and they did it after reversed a 0-2 deficit to beat the rivals at tie break (30:28, 25:20, 21:25, 25:27, 9:15).
With the victory over South Americans, the team coached by italian expert Roberto Piazza is assured of a place in the eighth final.
In the fifth and decisive set, the Netherlands made a bad start, 0-3, but that damage was quickly repaired: Thijs Ter Horst came into service at 6-5 for Argentina and he was author of a beautiful run thanks to which his teammates reached a clear 12-6! Argentina, the winner of the Olympic bronze in Tokyo, is now on the verge of elimination from the tournament after suffering the second five-set setback. Bruno Lima and Luciano Vicentín top-scored Argentina with 17 points each, with the latter who added 4 blocks, just like his teammate Nicolás Zerba.

In the same Pool, Iran managed to beat Egypt in Pool F in Ljubljana, Slovenia, but tougher than expected, and even losing a set (3-1, partially 25:14, 25:19, 22:25 and 24:26). After prevailing over Argentina in the first day in a match that was referred to as the battle for supremacy in the pool, the Western Asian side was to face the easiest rivals on paper.
However, in a tournament like this, no opponent should be underestimated! And in fact Egypt ripped one set off the favorites and was on a par with them in the fourth set that went even into overtime.
Milad Ebadipour with 18 points and Aliasghar Mojarad with 4 winning blocks took care that Iran finish the match with all 3 points, while Mohamed Issa scored 16 points for the Africans, and Abdelrahman Seoudy made 6 blocks.
